Can I choose a support worker who suits me?
Tell us what helps you feel comfortable, including your communication needs, interests, cultural preferences and the experience you need in a worker. We will discuss matching options and availability with you.
Can I move to Russell Healthcare from another provider?
Yes, you can enquire about moving your support to us. Check the notice terms in your current service agreement and confirm new arrangements before ending existing support. Your coordinator or a trusted person can help you plan the change.
How soon can my support begin?
Start dates depend on your location, the support required and worker availability. Let us know your preferred start date when you enquire so we can explain the next steps and discuss timing.
How much does support cost?
Ask us for rates for the services you need, including any travel or other charges. We will discuss costs and funding arrangements before support begins. Your service agreement should explain what you are paying for and the cancellation terms.
What information about my NDIS funding do you need?
Let us know whether your funding is self-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed, and which support you want to arrange. We can discuss whether the requested service is suitable for your funding arrangements and what information is needed next.
Can my family member or support coordinator make an enquiry?
Yes. Families, carers, advocates and support coordinators are welcome to contact us. Please have the person’s permission or appropriate authority before sharing personal information. Tell us who they would like involved in their support.
Can I request evening or weekend support?
Tell us the days and times that work for you, including any evening or weekend needs. We will confirm whether we can arrange the requested support and explain the applicable rates before you decide.
What if my needs or goals change?
Contact our team to discuss what has changed and the support you would now prefer. We can review the proposed arrangements with you, including availability, costs and any changes needed to your service agreement.
What if I need to cancel or change a shift?
Contact the team as early as possible. Your service agreement explains the notice required and any cancellation charges that may apply. Ask us to explain these terms before you start support.
How can I raise a concern about my support?
You can speak with our team or use the feedback and complaints page. You may involve a trusted person or advocate. The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission also accepts concerns about NDIS providers and workers.
